Starting photos

Progress photos.

Your starting set, so I have a clear baseline to work from. Set it up properly once: you'll take your weekly check-in photos in 1fit exactly the same way, so the only thing that changes between photos is you. Four short steps, then upload.

Set up the same way.

This is the setup you'll repeat for every weekly check-in. Tick each one.

Setup checklist
Tick all of these to carry on. They're what make one week comparable with the next.
Phone on a tripod at chest height, level, 2 to 3 metres from you, whole body in frame Plain wall 2 to 3 m Chest orshoulder height Level, straight ahead
Phone upright, level with your chest, lens pointing straight at you. Your whole body, head to feet, fills most of the frame.

Why chest height? The camera sees you face on, not looking up at you. Low or tilted phones stretch the legs and shrink the upper body, so your proportions change from week to week even when you haven't. Same height, same distance, same angle: every photo matches.

Light from the front.

Light changes how lean you look more than a week of dieting does. Keep it the same.

YesLight in front of you, or slightly above and in front. Window or lamp behind the phone.
AvoidDirectly overhead (harsh shadows) or behind you (silhouette).
  • Same room lights on or off every week.
  • If daylight varies a lot, use the room light and close the blinds.

Four poses.

Relaxed means relaxed: stand normally, breathe normally, don't suck in. Three required, one optional.

How to judge them: don't compare day to day. Every 4 weeks I put your photos side by side. That's where the real change shows.

Upload and send.

Each photo is checked on your phone before it's sent: framing, light, sharpness and pose. Nothing is uploaded until you press Send.

Your photos are private. They go to a private folder only I can see and are never shared without your written permission. Location data is stripped from each photo before it leaves your phone.
